Laura and
Aaron have been serving in La Mesa,
Colombia since September
2005. La Mesa is a small town near the capital city, Bogotá.
Along with a vibrant Mennonite Church, La Mesa has a school, Colegio
Americano Menno, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2005. |
Laura works
with health promotion at both institutions. They collaborate
with
other ministries including an inter-church missions
institute, the
youth group, and outreach to families displaced by violence.
 An important part of their work is
walking with the Colombian Mennonite Church as it promotes justice and
hope in a context of violent conflict. In everything the Kauffmans do,
they strive to share Christ's transforming love. |
Aaron teaches English at the
school and occasionally teaches and preaches at church. |
